Mind Blowing

At the end of the "Angry Hotel Man", (written by Fischy music and performed brilliantly by St John's primary school today), the hotel man storms round to the stable where all the strange visitors have been directed, and from where the noise of "hallelujahs" have woken him from "lots of lovely sleep".

He intends to give everyone in the stable a "piece of his mind" but he is silenced by the presence of the baby he finds there. He runs back inside and tells everyone to get out of bed, and go to the stable, because what is in there will "blow their minds".

Let's take time this Christmas to have our minds blown away by the incredibleness of God becoming man, mystery becoming known, remote coming close, invisible made visible.

As Lucy says in The Last Battle by C.S.Lewis , "In our world too, a stable once had something inside it that was bigger than our whole world."

The contents of that stable in Bethlehem really are mind blowing!
