Jesus and Peter

This little book by John Bell and Graham Maule was well used at my home church's youth weekend away. I was really pleased to be asked to lead 3 slots at the weekend, where we reflected on the bible, shared with each other and wondered at how Jesus changes people. At the end of each time together one of these "off the record conversations" was read.

The conversations between Jesus and Peter are funny, realistic, and sensitive. I was inspired to write my own for the final day on Jesus and Peter's chat on the beach from John 21 - we were able to perform this around a bonfire, at the side of a lake! All that was missing was some roasted fish! To see the young people presenting these sketches was brilliant; but more than that, each of us was touched by the reality of Jesus, His love, and the challenges he brings to our lives.

If you've never used these sketches, some of which have been around for quite a while, have a look at them on http://www.ionabooks.com/1117-1901557170-Jesus-and-Peter.html.
